DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this image is to provide an interface with configuration dialogs to run the agent from a live-usb.
INSTALLATION
To run the agent, you need to install the image on a key drive and then to boot from it.
Warning! All data on the USB drive will be erased!
The boot will ask you to select a keyboard and answer other questions to configure the agent.
Then, you will have the choice between running a shell and rebooting the computer.
LINUX
To install the image on your key drive, unzip the archive and then type the following command :
cat fusioninventory-live-usb.img > /dev/sdX
where /dev/sdX is the name of your usb key.
WINDOWS
After unzipping the image, you have to use a software like Image Writer to install it on your key drive.
